The Western Region Virtual Walk is very near completion, and Parkes DBC is holding a very informal get-together and medal presentation on Sunday 15th November at Lake Endeavour.

Participants in the Virtual Challenge and all club members are welcome to attend!

We are welcome to treat this as a training session or just paddle a perimeter of the lake. You may also like to kayak, fish, swim or walk along the creek below the spillway. You can walk as far as the lower dam (Bumberry Dam) if you’re keen.

This is a free event and Covid guidelines will be followed. Below is an outline of the day.

  1. You are invited to arrive at Lake Endeavour around 10:30 am on Sunday 15th November.
  2. There are  2x 20s boat & 1x 10s boat, so depending on numbers coming what is needef for a paddle will be made available.
  3. Clubs will not be allowed to mix in a boat, due to Covid restrictions.
  4. There will also be a number of kayaks available for whoever would like to kayak. Disinfectant wipes, provided, must be used before borrowing.
  5. A marquee will be available for the club, if requested. Bring your own chairs.
  6. You must sign-on and provide your details on the visitors’ sign-on sheet.
  7. In accordance with Covid all those coming should bring their own water and their own packed lunch.
  8. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Please RSVP with how many are planning to attend, as this will affect how many boats and toilets wil be needed.

RSVP before Wednesday 11 November to this invitation on Revolutionise so the numbers can be passed on to Parkes DBC.

NB Allow at least 3 hours for the drive to Parkes.

Each attendee will need to organise travel themselves. When all responses are in after 11/11 they will be emailed to attendees so that trael can be arranged.
